Fit Fathers Challenge
Here’s the problem: You want to get in shape, but feel you don’t have enough time and you want to spend that time with your family. Ask yourself this question. Are you tired of wasting valuable time at the gym?
I sure was. The gym doesn’t open early enough when I could go and even it did it wasn’t an ideal situation. I take our oldest son to school so going to the gym, returning to shower, eat, and then get him ready wasn’t an option. Plus I’m not the type that likes to shower at the gym, hang out, and go to work. I’d rather be home getting my kids ready, eat breakfast, and shower in my nice; clean bathroom. I already did my fair share of nasty locker rooms playing sports. I’m a grown ass man! I got sick of going to the gym after work. I was tired of rushing to the gym, hoping I won’t be stuck in traffic. I didn’t want to wait to use the equipment. I hated dealing with crowds because I like to get in and get out. There is nothing worse than standing around waiting to do your workout. Then, settling for another piece of equipment you didn’t want to use in the first place. Sometimes those exercise classes are full and you miss out. Maybe the best time for you doesn’t have your favorite class. As a dad, maybe you need to pick your kid(s) up after work, they have extracurricular activities, doctor’s appointments, you have plans, errands, etc. Now, we missed our workout and the cycle begins. We keep missing our workouts and starting over. Progress comes slow and it’s easy to give up. It’s easy to put ourselves last. As fathers, we also need to take care of our health so that we can take care of our family. As a former gym rat, turned fat father, I was tired of the cycle I was in and made the change. I understand and I’ve been there.
I created the Fit Fathers Challenge for busy dads, like me, who are tired wasting valuable time at a busy gym. You want to get in and get out. I know I do. I want to be home with my kids, be in shape to do activities with them, spend time with the wife, and help keep our house in order. It’s hard to balance all that with work and then sitting in traffic on our way to the gym. Don’t forget the extra charge for child care at the gym. Money could be spent elsewhere. Space in limited for each camp so that I can provide a personal coaching experience for each participant. Once spaces for the boot camp are filled, each applicant is put on a waiting list for the next boot camp.
